Obesity and overweight have become an inseparable disease in this time and obesity is a curse of our time.
So, Diets have multiplied for losing weight, but intermittent fasting spread lately and has become more common than other diets.
So, what is intermittent fasting? And what are its benefits, side effects, and its types?

What is intermittent fasting?

Intermittent fasting is considered nowadays one of the different followed diets for weight loss and depends basically on stop eating food at certain times of the day with drinking low-calorie beverages with no sugar or skim milk. Within your eating period, you can normally eat but stick your daily calories.

What are the benefits of intermittent fasting?

There are lots of benefits of intermittent fasting as like,
-Losing weight by burning stored fats in the body and building muscles.
-Fighting aging by slowing down the aging process and increasing the average age of individuals.
-Improving overall body conditions as intermittent fasting help the body do all the biological processes and get rid of poisons from the body. (detox)
-Lowering the blood sugar level, so it prevents from getting diabetes. You can know more about diabetes from here…..
-Reducing cardiovascular risks: as intermittent fasting help lower blood pressure and cholesterol.
-Fighting infections: intermittent fasting works on fighting infections which cause diseases and other health problems.
-Repairing damaged cells.

What are the side effects of intermittent fasting?

Although intermittent fasting has lots of benefits but they may some side effects show up like:
-Headache and it could be avoided by drinking a lot of water during the fasting period.
-Feeling lazy and it could be overcome by practicing some exercises.
-Causing some digestive disorders like a burning stomach, constipation, and bloating.
-It may adversely affect some women's fertility rate.

What are the types of intermittent fasting?

 There are many different types of intermittent fasting and more important ones are:
-Time-restricted eating (16 hours fasting on \ 8 hours fasting off): In this option, you fast for 16 hours including sleeping hours and  can eat your daily calories for only eight hours of the day.
-The Warrior Diet (20 hours fasting \ 4 hours eating):
This option is not recommended for beginners because it is difficult. In this option, you eat one meal and replace other meals with fruits and beverages.
-The twice a week method (5:2):
In this option, you fast for 24 hours on 2 non-consecutive days each week. On non-fasting days, you normally eat the daily allowed calories.
At the end, we say human health is his greatest asset. Health is a crown on the head of a well person, so maintain your health for a better life for you and your family.
